Auburn Student Alumni Ambassadors

It is truly an honor to represent Auburn in a way that celebrates the people, past and present, that make this university so special.

As a Student Alumni Ambassador, I have the privilege of being involved in Auburn University in one of the coolest ways. Our team of approximately 35 students meets biweekly to discuss upcoming events, community outreach, and opportunities to strengthen connections with Auburn alumni. We host tours for alumni returning to campus to see how much Auburn has grown and changed, support events such as Young Alumni Council lunches and dinners, assist with events at the Auburn Alumni Center, and attend special university gatherings, including the President’s Dinner.

Now serving as the Vice President of Marketing and Communications for SAA, I have the opportunity to take that involvement a step further. I oversee our social media presence, using marketing to do something I find especially meaningful: bridge the gap between current Auburn students and the alumni who once walked the same campus. Rather than promoting a product, I get to share the experiences and everyday moments of that make Auburn feel like home. Through Instagram Reels, alumni can catch a glimpse of today's student life, while prospective Student Alumni Ambassadors can learn more about the opportunities and community that await them. This role has also allowed me to strengthen my skills in Canva and Adobe Express, two creative tools I look forward to continuing to learn and grow with.

This year, I have also been entrusted with exciting new responsibilities, including developing a permanent SAA logo, creating and growing our LinkedIn presence, and building a marketing team within SAA to help produce content and carry our initiatives forward.

Sometimes, I have to take a step back and remind myself just how unique this opportunity is.

I get to combine my love for marketing with my love for Auburn, all while helping strengthen the connections between the students who are here today and the alumni who will always call Auburn home.
